Eye Testing
An eye test will evaluate both your vision and the health of your eyes. One of our friendly optometrists will first ask about your medical history and any vision problems you have been having. Then they will check both the inside and the outside of your eye for any eye disorders such as glaucoma, cataracts or macular degeneration. Finally your optometrist will test your vision. Your optometrist will then decide whether you need glasses or contact lenses and will be able to advise you on which would suit your personal situation the best.
Prescription Lenses
Your optometrist at All About Eyes will advise you on the type of prescription lenses that will correct your eyesight: Single Vision lenses are lenses for viewing one set distance only, this could be be near, intermediate or distance. Bifocals lenses are sectioned into two different parts, usually for near and distance sight with no transition between them. Progressive lenses have three main zones for reading, intermediate and distance visions, so users can see perfectly for all distances without having to take their glasses on and off.
